Question: One Week?

Answers:

A. A song by the Barenaked Ladies.

B. The amount of time TOILS AND SNARES is on sale for ONLY $0.99!

C. The streak for breaking my average number of words per day written in 2018.

D. All of the above.

D. Yup. If you answered all of the above you are correct. This week has been a good one. I’m beginning to feel back in the writing groove. I have a nearly final plot for NO MAN’S LAND. I have over 76,000 words even after cutting about 3K in the last two weeks. I’ve got two writerly friends helping me with some “Tell me if this doesn’t suck” readings of the rough draft of the first act.

C. My average writing day is about 200 words a day! 🙁 So, beating that average for a week isn’t huge! I also had my first 1K writing day of the year. (Last Year I had had 13 1K+ days and a 2K+ day.)

B. TOILS AND SNARES is on sale for ONLY $0.99 until the end of March. I’ve got it listed on bunch of new e-book sales sites. And the sale price should carry across all the stores and around the world.

A. A song by Canada’s The Barenaked Ladies is called “One Week” as opposed to the “A” song also by the Barenaked Ladies. If you don’t know any of the Barenaked Ladies’ music, check it out. No, they’re not bare naked (thank god) and they’re not ladies. But they write catchy songs with witting lyrics and sometimes even touching and poignant ones. One Week, A song and If I had a Million Dollars are my faves, but there are many more.

E. Everything else. I’m going to a Finish Your Book workshop this weekend and hopefully will continue to have good news for y’all.

F. If you like SciFi, please pick up copies of my friends’ newly finished trilogies and ongoing series:

Selah J. Tay-song has recently released Dreams of QaiMaj Book III – Shattered Dreams. I think she’s got at least one more book in the series coming.

Jesikah Sundin just released the final book in her Biodome Chronicles: Gamemaster. You can also read Transitions, her Biodome novella collection.

Spencer G. Ellsworth‘s Starfire Trilogy is complete. The first book is amazing. Village Books in Bellingham and University Bookstore in Seattle have copies (I know cuz I bought some there.).

Planning some cool stuff to help me finish NO MAN’S LAND. Only for my Desert Club members. If you are not a Deserter yet. Join here.
