My Deserted Lands novella, Toils and Snares–a parallelequel to All Is Silence, is now in rough draft completed form.
Now I need Alpha, Beta, and Gamma readers for Toils and Snares
- Beta readers – reading the messy first draft for the story arc. Does it work?
- Gamma Readers – What can be cut? Tightened? Note typos?
- Delta Readers – Line/copy editing: reading for typos, grammar issues for final draft.
If you would like to read it before anyone else, please send me an e-mail noting which of the above types of pre-publication readers you’d like to be.
I’m happy to read at all levels. I am better-trained for reading at the Delta level than in advising on the flow of a plot arc, but I can also point out areas where it isn’t clear why/how something happens. For example, “Why were the police chasing the main character after he left the restaurant? He hadn’t done anything illegal yet…” Not sure if that is more of a Beta or Gamma level for your purposes. 🙂
Awesome, thanks, Janet! I’ll see where people want to be and then let you at it. No harm of course if you read it at two different stages!
