Book Review of Immurement (The Undergrounders #1) by Norma Hinkens

Actually, I’d give it more than 4 stars, but not 5. Really great debut novel. I don’t usually like reading in present tense, but like Suzanne Collin’s of Hunger Games fame, Hinkens does it so well, that I didn’t notice.

It’s currently priced at $0.99 on Amazon, so if you have a Kindle app or a Kindle reader, you can get it here.

Sixteen-year-old Derry rocks the strong female protagonist role without being unbelieveable in this believable post-apocalyptic universe. If you liked my Deserted Lands novels you’ll probably like The Undergrounders Series.

It does end on a good cliff-hanger, which means it closes the story arc that started the book, but leaves very important pieces to come back too. Luckily, for you folks reading this, Embattlement (The Undergrounders #2) is already out and Judgement (The Undergrounders #3) will be out soon.

I’m not the only one who likes it, Immurement recieved the GRAND PRIZE of the 2016 Next Generation Indie Book Award for fiction.
